Enjoy amazing sunsets while we release newly born turtles.

Every year, from mid-August through December, Olive Ridley Sea Turtles return to lay their eggs at their native beaches. Unfortunately, beachfront developments have invaded their natural habitat and, in response of this, Estrella del Mar Resort established a turtle sanctuary with the goal to coexist, protect and conserve their populations.

Since 1998, these efforts have helped to safeguard nests, hatchlings and injured turtles; increasing more than thirty-six times the number of eggs being collected and the number of hatchlings, along with an 80% of survival to the newly born, which makes the turtle sanctuary on the most important ones in Sinaloa.

What's the expedition like?

Two nights in a deluxe oceanfront room at Estrella del Mar Golf · Condos and Beach Resort. Experience a stay that will fill your soul with good vibes. From relaxing at a private exotic beach to being part of a conservation project.
